Ballina Salmon Festival hosts Festival launch with Party in the Park and River Moy Swim!
Preparations for the 58th Ballina Salmon festival are well underway in the town for this summer, after a hiatus of three years due to the global pandemic.
The traditional pre-festival warm-up, includes a return to the annual Lady of the Moy competition, hosted on the 18th June in the Great National Hotel Ballina (further information contact Mary Moyles 086 025 9777) and the ‘River Moy Swim’ Fest with a fun filled, family friendly, festival launch party in the Tom Ruane Park on the 25th June.
Kicking off at 2.30pm in the park, featuring MC Bradley Brock, and entertainment by The Mick D Experience with Keif Mullins and surprise guests, as well as an afternoon of Yoga in the Park, family friendly activities, refreshments, and River Moy Swim medal presentations with further live music by Ras Tinny, everyone is invited and welcome to join the Ballina Salmon Festival launch party in Tom Ruane Park. Guests at the party can enjoy the best view of the River Moy Swim in town, as visitors, locals and family members can cheer on swim participants as they swim by the park!
