This film-tastic workshop will cover the basics of film-making – shooting, editing, captioning, music, and by the end, you should be able to make your own short movie!
The film-making workshop is being run by Pat Cunnane, principal of Behy National School with support from members of the school’s film-making club. The club has been in existence for 6 years in Behy National school and provides members with the skills they need to plan, shoot, edit and produce short films.
Each year the film club showcase their short films at the annual Behy National School Film Festival in Ballina Arts Centre. Club members also enter FÍS, the national film-making competition and have won awards in each of the last six years, including the overall award for ‘Best Film’ in 2014.
