River Moy Swim Race

July 8 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Become One of Ballina’s Swimming Greats this July 8th by swimming the Moy Swim.

One of the oldest river swims in Ireland, the Moy Swim is taking place again this year. In conjunction with Swim Ireland , the  River Moy Swim  returned to the banks of the Moy in 2019 after an absence of  more than 30 years.

The annual River Moy Swim will take place on 8th July 2023 during Ballina Salmon Festival, and for Ballina 2023, we are looking for 300 participants to mark the 300th anniversary of the town!

There are two adult swim challenges to choose from:

  • 600m (finishing at Bachelor’s Walk)
  • 2.5km (finishing at the Quay)

There is also a youth race with a distance of 600m.

This unforgiving swim offers a fantastic opportunity to experience a competitive race in the scenic surrounds of the Ballina along the Wild Atlantic Way, while supported in open water, so sign up today. This is a competitive and participative event.

Registration

Registration for the River Moy Swim will take place at the following times:

Friday, July 7, 5pm to 8pm in Kennedy Glasgow House, the Quay, Ballina

Saturday, July 8, 8am to 9am in Kennedy Glasgow House, the Quay, Ballina.
