The opening of the ‘Buildings of County Mayo’ exhibition takes place in the Courtyard Buildings, Belleek Castle at 6pm on Thursday 13th July 2017.

This touring photographic exhibition promotes the publication of the Mayo survey of the built heritage of the county. The National Inventory of Architectural Heritage (NIAH) is the largest ever survey of the post-1700 architectural heritage of County Mayo, some highlights of which are presented within this exhibition. Belleek Castle has been selected to host this exhibition as it demonstrates good practice in the conservation-led adaptive re-use of historic buildings.

This exhibition has been organised with Belleek Castle, the Department of Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, National Inventory of Architectural Heritage and Mayo County Council.

Admission

The exhibition shows daily in the newly renovated Courtyard Buildings at Belleek Castle from 10am – 5pm. Admission is FREE.
