The wait is over—Ballina Salmon Festival, Ireland’s longest-running community festival, is set to return in 2026 from Sunday, 12th July to Sunday, 19th July 2026. Mark your calendars for a week-long celebration of culture, heritage, and community spirit in the heart of Ballina.
The festival promises the return of much-loved favourites that capture the very essence of our town and traditions. National Heritage Day will once again transform Ballina on Wednesday, 15th July, with the streets alive in colour, music, crafts, and storytelling, celebrating the rich heritage of North Mayo. Meanwhile, the iconic Moy Swim makes its splash on Saturday, 18th July, as swimmers take to the famous River Moy in one of the festival’s most anticipated sporting highlights.
Alongside these flagship events, festival-goers can look forward to a vibrant programme of family-friendly activities, live music, arts and cultural showcases, delicious food experiences, and plenty more surprises to be revealed in the coming months.
